About Us
ZAT
Initiative seeks to provide diverse stakeholders in MENA with an evidence-based framework for action towards the achievement of the above three inter-connected outcomes. It has two main components:
The development of a Conceptual and Behavioral Framework (CBF) on life skills and Islamic education that serves as a guide to strategy development and programming at the youth level.
Assessing the targeted competences and their subskills. The assessment gives us a clear understanding of what each unique applicant needs to develop a specific competency in a scale from novice to a beginner, competent then to a proficient.
An Analytical Mapping (AM) has been developed to provide the evidence for the CPF, including an overview of the status of life skills and citizenship education in MENA, and an indepth analysis of major initiatives and programmed at regional and national levels.
The LSCE Initiative brings together the active contribution of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), along with ministries of education and other national institutions responsible for education across the MENA countries.
Our vision
Create a future where every young individual, guided by Islamic ethics and principles, has equal opportunities to acquire knowledge, develop essential skills, and explore their passions through accessible and inclusive learning experiences.
Our mission
to empower and support learners by providing access to quality education and learning opportunities in non-formal settings, while upholding Islamic ethics and values. We strive to assist individuals in discovering their true selves, developing a strong sense of Islamic identity, and preparing them for the challenges of the workplace.
